Homegrown Smoker Barbecue
Homegrown Smoker is a Portland vegan barbecue food truck. This is a family-owned business established in 2009. They've consistently gotten excellent reviews for their food, but don't have a consistent brand. The first logo was almost illegible. Their recently revamped logo is certainly cleaner, but feels too sterile. There are a few other word marks that seem to be used for various advertising purposes, but weren't consistent towards building their brand. Their website had previously been a blog-style layout and it was difficult to find basic information. I cleaned up the interface and made a cohesive brand experience.
This truck is fully embraced by the community, my intention with the logo was to bring a little bit of the warmth back, while still retaining that clean "Portland" vibe as well as aim towards a better brand consistency.
