The Bounty Trilogy Book Covers
Student Project | Book Cover Design
The Bounty series described real events of the mutiny aboard the HMS Bounty. The first book details the captain’s abuse of his men and their eventual mutiny. The second book is an account of the ordeal of the men forced off the ship. The third book describes the life of the mutineers on the island they have chosen to settle upon. The common theme with all the books is being bound or chained to something. In the first they are chained to the boat and obligation; the second, they are chained to the sea and their fate; and the third, they are chained to the island and their decision. The narrator changes throughout the trilogy. Each book is told from the first person perspective of someone in the book. The artwork reflects the view of each person and their journey. Each cover bleeds directionally towards the feelings conveyed within each book.
